Exciting Workshops, Concurrent Sessions &
Interactive Forum
Our members asked for it, and we’re delivering! Natural Resources education and training, face-to-face interactive problem-solving and idea-sharing sessions, as well as compelling presentations on management, stewardship, and research challenges and solutions from many of the foremost experts in their fields.
This year’s conference has more workshops, training and opportunities to connect and network with peers than ever before. In fact, there are so many educational opportunities and special events throughout the week, that many attendees will likely wish that they could be in two places at once.
And since you cannot be in two places at one time (and as far as we know, cloning isn’t widely available yet), when you register, you will be asked if you plan to attend the paper sessions, and which of the workshops you wish to attend.
Concurrent paper sessions are offered Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday, and Friday morning; please indicate on your registration form if you plan to attend any of these presentations. The workshops are scheduled throughout the day on Wednesday (choose either one all-day or two half-day workshops), and again on Friday morning (Friday is a half day so that attendees who wish to can head home in the afternoon). You will be asked to select the specific workshops that you wish to attend for planning purposes. NOTE: Most of the Thursday field trips are related to a specific Wednesday workshop, but only one field trip has a Wednesday prerequisite.
The conference schedule also includes the Plenary on Tuesday morning, the Natural Resource Connections Symposium on Tuesday afternoon, and a wide variety of special events throughout the week, such as the State and Federal Natural Area Roundtables, World Café breakout sessions, social receptions, the poster session and student presentations. And NAA members won’t want to miss their annual membership meeting and luncheon, which takes place on Wednesday.
