Registration Information
Full Conference Registration
Full Conference Registration is your ticket to all conference activities, from Tuesday through Friday, and is extremely cost-effective. Full registration includes: the Plenary, access to all concurrent paper sessions and the poster session, interactive roundtables and workshops, as well as the Tuesday evening welcoming mixer and Thursday’s Awards Dinner. In addition, you get to choose from a large selection of educational field trips to exciting natural areas, wilderness destinations and cultural sites. All this, in addition to endless networking and sharing opportunities!
Daily Registration
Daily registration includes attendance at conference sessions, roundtables and workshops on individual days, session materials, refreshments during breaks and any evening activity on that day, except the Thursday evening Annual Awards Dinner. The Annual Awards Dinner is not included in any daily registration fee. Tickets must be purchased separately for the Dinner for daily registrants and for guests.
Student Registration
For full-time, currently registered students, registration includes attendance to all conference events (see above) but at the special discounted student rate. Proof of current student status must be submitted with registration (ID card or current registration receipt). After you have submitted your registration form online, please either fax, (573) 882-1953, or E-mail us a copy of your student ID.
NAA Member ID #
Your NAA Member ID # is printed on the mailing label above your name (or your Agency/Business/Organization name) on the Natural Areas Journal, Natural Area News or renewal card labels. If you are unsure of your membership status or ID #, please contact NAA, (541) 317-0199.
Current Member Rate
If your NAA dues are paid in full before or at the time of registration, you are considered a current member for registration purposes. NAA members whose membership expires on or before September 30, 2010, or whose membership has lapsed, are encouraged to renew online now at the Natural Areas Association Website.
Note: You must include your NAA Member ID # to register at the member’s discounted rate.
NAA Agency/Business/Organization Members
Members may register up to five people under their Agency Membership. If you are registering more than one person for your agency, please fill out a separate registration form for each person. Additional representatives of your agency/company are of course welcome to attend at the non-member rate.
Note: All registrants must include the agency’s NAA Member ID# to register at the member’s discounted rate.
Annual Awards Dinner
Family members and guests are welcome to attend the Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 28th. Tickets are $50 per person and can be paid with your registration. Indicate the number of guests on the registration form. If you wish to pay for a guest after you have already registered, email or call (573) 882-8320. Please include any special dietary needs for your guests in this email.
Mid-Conference Field Trips
Mid-Conference Field Trips on Thursday, October 28, are included with full registration. Space is limited, so these are for registered conference attendees only. All attendees should indicate their first and second field trip preferences on their registration form. Note that three of the trips have small fees required to help offset costs, and this is paid when you register. If you do not receive your first-choice (fee) field trip, your fee will be refunded to you. All field trip participants will be notified of their field trip assignment in advance of the conference. Pre- and Post-Conference Field Trips
Pre-Conference and Post-Conference Field Trips to exciting destinations are also offered for an additional fee. See the descriptions of each field trip on the Field Trips page of this Website. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the unique landscapes and features of Missouri on your way to, and/or from, the conference!
Dining With Us on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday Night?
Help the NAA avoid wasting food and funds. Please indicate on your registration form whether or not you plan to attend the Thursday, October 28th Awards Dinner and, for current NAA members, whether you plan to attend the Wednesday NAA Annual Membership Meeting with complimentary lunch. One Awards Dinner ticket is included with each full conference registration. Additional guest tickets may be purchased when you register.
Registration is available now!
We encourage you to register as soon as possible. The earlier you register, the more likely you are to obtain your desired field trip.
Note that NAA members receive a significant discount on registration. Any individual who joins NAA prior to, or while registering, may take advantage of the members discounted rate. Agencies, organizations and businesses can also save big by becoming an institutional member of the NAA — up to five of their employees/colleagues can register at the member rate. Contact the NAA to become an NAA Agency/Organization/Business-level member.
Payments
All payments are being processed by the University of Missouri Conference Office, either by check or with a credit card. VISA, MasterCard and Discover are accepted. Cashiers checks and money orders are also accepted. You can easily and securely register online, or register by mailing in your registration form with payment (check or credit card information).
Confirmation/Receipts
Online registrants (payment by credit card) will receive a quick emailed confirmation after finalizing your registration. If paying by check, you will receive your final confirmation/receipt via email, once your check is received.
On-Site Registration
On-site registration will be available for last-minute attendees. Note that we cannot guarantee space for field trips, the Annual Awards Dinner or some sessions, especially workshops.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by September 24, 2010. All cancellations will incur a non-refundable $75 administrative fee. After September 24, no refunds will be issued.
